  • Was this the first reprimand for Ms Scrase?

    Contrary to the letter sent by Mrs. Bitter and Mr. Harris, the September 18, 2024 was not Ms Scase’s first violation of district policies. On January 28, 2022, Superintendent Chad Lewis issued a verbal reprimand to Ms Scrase for violating the confidentiality and non-retaliation provisions of Board Policies AC, ACAA and JFCF-P.

  • Lawsuit and Deposition Hearing held on 06/12/2025

    A lawsuit was filed claiming the Sycamore BOE violated the Open Meetings Act. Board President Sara Bitter and Superintendent Chad Lewis were questioned, under oath, regarding this lawsuit and the incident and discipline involving Ms Scrase.
